Stau New Capital Egypt is a planned new city that is being built in the country of Egypt near the city of Cairo. The project, which was first announced in 2015, is estimated to cost up to $45 billion. The intention behind the project is to alleviate overcrowding in Cairo and establish a new hub for economic and technology development in Egypt.

The city will be constructed on 5,000 hectares of land situated 55 kilometers east of Cairo and adjacent to the Sphinx International Airport. Stau New Capital will feature several modern amenities such as housing, shopping malls, educational facilities and healthcare services. It is also planned to have green spaces and parks. The city is expected to be completed by 2022, and it is estimated to house between 6 and 7 million people.

The project is being co-financed by the UAE and is led by the Suez Canal Economic Zone Authority. Several prominent Egyptian business leaders and investors such as Naguib Sawiris, Osama Bishai and Mohamed Abou El Enein are also involved in the project.
